Specification-led sourcing. Corridor-first delivery.
A pipe export succeeds or fails on three things: the specification is right, the route is planned, and one person is accountable. Our approach is built around all three, with the Elderberry ZA group behind it.
One order, five stages, one contact.
Follow a pipe order from South African manufacturers, through our four capabilities, to the five markets we serve. Click a stage or a capability, or let it play.
Turn the requirement into a priceable specification
We start with the project, not the price list. Diameter, pressure class, standard, lengths, fittings and site conditions are confirmed up front, so the quotation is firm and nothing is re-specified at the border.
Match the specification to South African manufacturers
The specification goes to the manufacturers and stockists best placed to supply it. We compare availability, lead time and certification, and we manage the purchase so you deal with one commercial contact.
Prepare export, origin and transit paperwork before dispatch
Commercial invoice, packing list, customs declaration, certificate of origin and transit documents are prepared and checked against the destination’s requirements, so cargo is not held at a border.
Plan the load, the corridor and the border crossings
Pipe is long and sometimes oversize. Loading, securing, corridor choice, permits and border coordination are planned around the actual cargo and the project programme, using the six corridors we know.
Hand over at the mine, plant or project site
Delivery is planned to the site, not just the nearest city. You get milestone updates in transit and handover documents on arrival, and the same contact handles anything that follows.
On a phone, swipe the map sideways to see it all.
What every order is built on.
These principles decide how we quote, who we buy from and how cargo moves. They are the reason buyers come back for the next project.
Specification-led sourcing
Every quotation starts from a confirmed specification, so the price is firm and the pipe that arrives is the pipe that was specified.
Corridor-first delivery
We plan the route, border posts and permits before the order is placed, because in Southern and East Africa the corridor decides the delivery date.
One commercial contact
Procurement, documentation and transport are coordinated by one person who is accountable from enquiry to handover.
Group-backed capability
Engineering judgement, procurement scale and water expertise from the Elderberry ZA group sit behind every order.
Depth in five markets, four products and the partners who move them.
Focus is the strategy. Rather than trading anything anywhere, we go deep on the markets, products and partners that pipe projects in Southern and East Africa actually need.
Five markets, known well
The DRC, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Tanzania, with the corridors, border posts and project hubs that serve them.
Four product lines, deep supply
HDPE PE100, spiral, steel and PVC from South African manufacturers, with fittings, valves and pumps through the group.
Partners who move pipe
Manufacturers, transporters, clearing agents and port operators chosen for long, heavy and oversize cargo.
Projects, not just orders
Phased deliveries, call-offs and stock planning aligned to construction programmes, with the engineering team on call.
Six commitments on every order.
Measure us against these. They are the standard our sales and logistics team works to from the first enquiry to after-delivery support.
